Here she is... Terra Firma
This is my first cloth and clay doll, named Terra Firma, means (forest) Terra Firma sounds so much cooler. Doesn't It? It was fun and challenging at times. There was minimal sewing but still "sewing" and those of you who know me are saying "Hey, you don't sew", I know. The first day of making my doll was called "Getting To Know Your Sewing Machine". The manual and I now have a close relationship.
I became obcessed with the whole process of making her. I only took time out to eat, sleep, and go to work, which was very irritating, cause I just wanted to keep going. On my days off, I would go down to my studio (lower level of home) in the morning and before I knew it it was 5:30 pm and I was still in my pj's. I am happy with her. I'm already pondering on what to make next. A few gals from cloth and clay dolls are thinking we do a Halloween themed doll... I'm In!
